02-17-2012 :
Today we saw 3 Gray whales.
01-31-2012 :
Hi everyone, great weather and what a day we had. 12 Orca's were prowling around and we spent over 2 hours right along side as they fed, breached, and just generally traveled around the area. It appeared as if there were several juveniles and the older males in the pod appeared to be teaching hunting skills as they pursued prey in the area. Hopefully they will remain in the region for a while...great weather on tap and lots of availability. We depart daily 11am and 9am/1pm weekends...see you onboard.
01-25-2012 :
Finally back on the water after the rain. We encountered 2 Grays and a huge pod of Bottle Nose on the south side of Anacapa insde the park. The weather looks good for the next few days...we depart daily...
01-15-2012 :
We encountered a pair of Grays this afternoon just outside of Arch Rock on the east end of Anacapa Island. We followed them for a couple miles and then pealed off in search of other wildlife. The water remains calm and whales plentiful. I neglected to note that this morning on our crossing we encountered a blue shark...the first I have seen in a long time. Blue sharks were once numerous in our waters but due to changing conditions and other environmental issues they became scarce. I have noted in recent years that I personally am seeing increasing numbers both coastal and on our offshore trips. We have trips departing tomorrow at 11 am and if we fill may add a late afternoon departure. See you on board.

As the boat is backing into the slip I can't help but wish that I was on board today. The guys had good trips today with 8 grays, more dolphin than one could count and hundreds of sea lions. The weather in the channel was calm and it was just a nice day to be on the water. We continue our seafari tours through the park and sanctuary daily. Hope to see you onboard.
01-12-2012 :
Today was yet another nice day inside the park. Multiple Gray whale encounters with mating activity observed. Amidst all this we came upon a lone Humpback. In addition, Risso and Common dolphin were out in force. This has been one of the best January's I can ever recall in terms of favorable weather and consistent sighting. We depart daily. See you onboard
01-07-2012 :

Between 2 trips we followed 4 gray whales (saw a few more on the horizon) over 1000 common dolphin, 10 coastal bottle nose dolphin, 1 harbor seal, 500 plus california sealions and 3 elephant seals. The weather was a bit coller, but the ocean was calm and visibility was great.
